From the Homeowner....

"When we decided to renovate an older house for the fourth time, we promised ourselves it would be the last time. We really loved the neighborhood from the beginning and we had a short drive to just about everywhere we wanted to go. After completely renovating this house we fell in love with living in a home that felt like it was brand new… and within just a few months we decided this group of neighbors was by far the best we have had of all the places we have lived in the last twelve years. So when we told our family that we were thinking about moving, they told us we had lost our minds.

Funny thing was, I had begun to get the itch again. As an architect, the desire to turn something old into something new is a feeling I can’t escape. Fortunately for that need, my wife is ready to move on as well. Not because she wants to renovate again (she likes living through renovation projects about as much as taking the kids to get shots at the doctor), but because we now have two children and this house is just not quite big enough for the four of us, our dog and all of the family that comes to visit.

Now the only thing we worry about us that we won’t love the next house as much as this one. The floor plan is great for our family, it is great for entertaining, and it lives much larger than its measured 1600SF. We tried very hard to find a place for everything and gave everything a place all its own. We included dozens of custom details unheard of for houses in this range. We did everything possible to make the house feel like a special place. We take pride in the fact that when people come over for the first time they often tell us how much they would love to have a home like ours. I finally got the garage organized and working like it was meant to and the built-in work bench and cabinets have been money. On top of all that, we just recently got the yard where we want it and our new sod is the envy of the neighborhood.

I can honestly say that whoever lives in this house next will truly enjoy the experience and I hope that they are able to stay for a long, long time." -Brett
